Police say victim pepper sprayed during robbery at South Shore jewelry store

Police on Montreal’s South Shore say an individual was pepper sprayed during a robbery at a jewelry store on Tuesday.

At around 5:30 p.m., Longueuil police (SPAL) were called to Bijouterie Lavigueur inside the Promenades Saint-Bruno shopping mall in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Que.

Police say the person who was pepper sprayed was treated by paramedics and no other injuries were reported.

The suspects stole “several” pieces of jewelry before fleeing on foot, the SPAL added. Officers are trying to find them with the help of the K-9 unit.

The incident is still under investigation.
