Police arrest man and woman after stabbing during Montreal-North conflict

An altercation at a residence in the Montreal-North borough resulted in a man being stabbed in the upper body on Saturday night.

According to Montreal police (SPVM), a 911 call was received at 9:05 pm reporting that a man had been injured with a sharp object at a residence on Chartrand Street near Léger Boulevard.

When police arrived on the scene, they located a 56-year-old man with upper body injuries and a 30-year-old woman.

Based on initial information, a conflict broke out between the man and woman for reasons that remain unknown.

The man and the woman were arrested. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later released.

The woman is expected to meet with investigators on Sunday.
