A motorcyclist died Friday after colliding with a car in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly, in Chaudière-Appalaches. Authorities were called to the scene of the accident around 10:30 a.m. on Friday morning. The collision, which involved a car and a motorcycle, occurred at the intersection of Route 132 and Route 273 in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly. “According to initial reports, the motorcyclist was seriously injured,” said Élizabeth Marquis-Guy, a spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec. “The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.” Marquis-Guy noted that l’Église Street was closed to traffic and that the municipality had set up a detour. A crash reconstruction specialist arrived on the scene Friday to better understand the causes and circumstances surrounding the incident. An investigation is still underway.
