The Montreal Victoire added six players to the team’s roster at the 2026 PWHL Entry Draft in Detroit on Wednesday night, including a Concordia University graduate. With the final pick of the entire night (round six, pick 72), the Victoire went for 24-year-old Stinger forward Émilie Lavoie. The 5′7″sports therapy right winger from Beloueil, Que., finished her fifth season at Concordia with six goals and 15 assists and a +16. Lavoie’s Concordia teammate Jessymaude Drapeau was not drafted on Wednesday, despite placing on a number of mock draft boards. Here are the other Victoire picks: The six draft picks will join the nine that are under contract with Montreal, including forward Abby Roque, who signed with the Victoire on Wednesday. Victoire general manager Danièle Sauvageau was happy with the team’s additions. “Each of them fits perfectly with the identity and style of play we want to establish in Montreal,” she said. The Victoire’s top pick, Nieminen, scored 24 goals and added 21 assists for the Swedish side Lulea HF last season and played on Finland’s Olympic team in Milan-Cortina. The 5′7″, 27-year-old centre led the Swedish Women’s Hockey League in scoring two years in a row.
