Montreal basking in sunshine as temperatures climb

Montrealers are in for some picture-perfect weather, with daytime conditions expected to bring mainly sunny skies all weekend long.

Clear conditions and a low of 2 degrees Celsius are forecast for Friday night.

The mercury could then hit a high of 14 degrees Celsius by Saturday afternoon.

A seasonal low of 4 degrees Celsius is forecast for Saturday evening, before Sunday brings a daytime high of 18 degrees Celsius.

Those in the Greater Montreal area should expect a return to single digits on Sunday night, with a low of 6 degrees Celsius.

While 14 degrees Celsius is the normal daytime high for this time in April, the mercury could soon break into the 20s.

The region could reach a high of 21 degrees Celsius to start next week.
