Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after a man was stabbed in a fight in the François-Perrault neighbourhood of the Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension borough on Wednesday night. Police say they received several 911 calls at around 10:15 p.m. about a person injured with a sharp object. Officers responded to the corner of 20th Avenue and Villeray Street and found the 31-year-old male in Gary Longhi Park with injuries to his upper body. He was conscious when transported to the hospital and remains in stable condition. Police said that it appears a conflict escalated in the park between several people and ended in the stabbing. Witnesses are being investigated, and police are looking for surveillance camera footage in the area. No arrests have been made, and there were no other injuries.
