Quebec provincial police are searching for an assailant after a man in his 40s was shot and wounded in Sorel-Tracy on Tuesday evening. He later died. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. at a home on Chemin des Patriotes, near Rue Coteau-de-Sable. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries to his upper body. On Wednesday morning, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) announced that he had died from his injuries. The attacker fled the scene and is still being sought by police.
