Here are the top 10 most stolen vehicles in Quebec

The Toyota RAV4 tops the list for the most stolen vehicle in Quebec in 2024, according to a new report by Équité Association. It is also the most stolen car across Canada.

The organization released its annual report on Tuesday, revealing that 921 Toyota RAV4s were stolen in Quebec in 2024, making it the vehicle targeted by thieves in the province most often. The 2021 model, Équité said, was the most popular model year for theft.

“The Toyota RAV4’s appearance at the top of the list is a clear sign that organized criminal networks are not slowing down; they are simply shifting their tactics,” explained Bryan Gast, national VP of investigative services for Équité Association.

Vehicle theft was down overall 19 per cent nationwide, though it continues to cost Canadians over $1 billion in losses each year, the group stated.
