Here are the Montreal-area weekend road closures due to construction

Montreal-area drivers should know that certain routes will be closed on the weekend due to construction and other reasons.

Planning in advance is advised.

Honoré-Mercier Bridge - CANCELLED

Planned work on the bridge has been cancelled.

Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel (A-25)

Southbound

• From Friday at 11 p.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m., the tunnel will be closed between Exit 5 (Sherbrooke Street) in Montreal and Route-132 in Longueuil.
• By default, 30 minutes prior to the closure, access from Sherbrooke, Tellier and des Futailles streets will be closed.

Northbound

• From Friday 11 p.m. to Saturday 8 a.m., the tunnel will be closed between Exit 90 (R-132) on Highway 20 West in Longueuil and the access from Yves-Prévost Boulevard on Highway 25 North in Montreal.
• By default, 30 minutes prior to the closure, Route 132 East and West on-ramps (Exits 89-N) will be closed.

Souligny Avenue

• From Friday at 10:30 p.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m., Souligny Avenue will be closed in both directions between Dickson and Honoré-Beaugrand streets.

Ville-Marie and Viger Tunnels (R-136)

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., access from Notre-Dame Street / de la Cathédrale Street and Highway 10 West (Bonaventure) / Robert-Bourassa Boulevard will be closed in the tunnels.

Cavendish Boulevard

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Cavendish Boulevard northbound will be closed at the Dalton Road southbound intersection.

Highway 30 (De L’Acier)

• In Brossard, from Friday at 10 p.m. to Saturday at 9 p.m., Highway 30 West will be closed between Exit 67 (P.E. Trudeau Airport, Highway 10, Highway 15, Sherbrooke, Montreal/Downtown) and the on-ramp from Highway 10.

Jean-Lesage Highway (A-20)

• In Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil, from Friday at 9 p.m. to Sunday at 6 a.m., the Highway 20 East on-ramp from Route 229 (Bernard-Pilon Street) will be closed.

Highways 40/640 (Terrebonne)

• From Friday at 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Exit 50 (Montée des Pionniers) will be closed on Highway 640 westbound.
• From Friday at 9 p.m. to Saturday at 5 a.m. and from Sunday at 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., one of two lanes will be closed on Highway 640 westbound between the A-40/A-640 interchange and Exit 50 (Montée des Pionniers).
• From Friday at 9 p.m. to Saturday at 5 a.m. and from Sunday at 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Exit 96-W (A-640 west, Laval, Saint-Eustache) on Highway 40 westbound will be closed.

Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Boulevard (R-116)

• In Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville and Longueuil (Saint-Hubert borough), from Friday at 9 p.m. to Saturday at 8:30 a.m.; from Saturday at 8 p.m. to Sunday at 9 a.m.; and from Sunday at 8 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m. Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Boulevard (R-116) will be closed between Exit 9 (Highway 30, Vaudreuil-Dorion, Sorel-Tracy, des Promenades Boulevard) and the next on-ramp.

Saint-Patrick and Bridge streets

• From Saturday at 6 a.m. to Sunday at 8 p.m., the Saint-Patrick and Bridge streets intersection will be closed.

REM

• Scheduled work on the network will result in a delayed start to service on June 13 and 14.

In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, the work may be cancelled or modified.
