Here are the Montreal-area weekend road closures

Montreal drivers should be aware that construction work will result in road closures in and around the island on the weekend.

Planning trips in advance is advised.

• LISTEN to CJAD 800 Radio for traffic updates every 15 minutes

Honoré-Mercier Bridge (R-138)

• From Saturday at 3 a.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., one of two lanes will be closed at the end of the Honoré-Mercier Bridge between Montreal and Kahnawake. Traffic congestion is expected during the day on Saturday and Sunday.

Metropolitan Expressway (A-40)

• In the Saint-Michel and Pie-IX areas, from Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Exit 75 (A-19 North, Saint-Michel Boulevard / Papineau Avenue) will be closed.
• From Friday at 11 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., on the westbound service road (Crémazie Boulevard West), one of three lanes will be closed on certain sections between Pie-IX and Saint-Michel boulevards.

Olivier-Charbonneau Bridge (A-25)

• Between Montreal (Rivière-des-Prairies and Pointe-aux-Trembles boroughs) and Laval, on Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., one of three northbound lanes will be closed on the Olivier-Charbonneau Bridge.

Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Road (R-158)

• In Mirabel, from Friday at 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Road (R-158) will be closed in both directions between the Laurentian Highway (A-15) and Saint-Simon Road.

Victoria Bridge

• The lane toward the South Shore (upstream side) will be closed and traffic restricted to the single lane on the bridge’s west span (Jacques-Cartier Bridge side) until Thursday at midnight.
• Due to ongoing work on Bridge Street for an as-yet-undetermined period, the Victoria Bridge will remain configured with one lane in each direction at all times, starting at midnight on Friday and continuing until Bridge Street reopens fully.

Ville-Marie borough

• On Saturday and Sunday from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m., Union Street (between René-Lévesque Boulevard and Belmont Street), Robert-Bourassa Boulevard northbound (between Belmont and Cathcart Streets), and René-Lévesque Boulevard (between Côte du Beaver Hall and Robert-Bourassa Boulevard) will be completely closed for a film shoot.

Montreal Cycling Grand Prix

• The Montreal Cycling Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, September 13 in the Côte-des-Neiges, Outremont, and Ville-Marie boroughs. Traffic and parking restrictions will be in effect.

Highway 30 (de l’Acier)

• In Brossard, evening and nighttime closures are required on Highway 30 in both directions between Highway 10 and Matte Boulevard in Brossard for approximately two weeks.

Highway 520 (Côte-de-Liesse)

• In Dorval, on Highway 520 West (Côte-de-Liesse), the on-ramp from Roméo-Vachon Boulevard heading south will be closed until Thursday, November 11.
