Former Montreal mayor Valérie Plante has announced she is joining the team at TV5 to host a series set for release this fall. The 51-year-old, who chose not to run for reelection in the municipal race last November, called the decision one of “many ways to change the world.” “I’m very proud to join the team at TV5+, which allows me to stay on the ground and highlight innovations that improve the daily lives of city dwellers around the world,” she wrote on social media. The series, called Ça brasse en ville, loosely translated in English as The Buzz Around Town, has the former mayor travelling around the world to explore “how the urban chaos of cities is being organized thanks to the citizens who live in and transform them.”
