A construction worker was badly injured while on the job on Thursday morning in Montreal’s West Island. The incident occurred at a massive housing construction project near Brunswick Boulevard and Highway 40. The man apparently fell into a pit, where he was impaled on a piece of metal. Firefighters who responded to the scene placed the man on a stretcher before lifting him up with a crane. He was rushed to hospital, where his condition remains unknown.
