"Beat the Clock" was one of television's most enduring game shows. Its popularity was derived from its simple format and wacky action. Two couples, preselected from the studio audience, had to complete various stunts within a time limit (usually 60 seconds or less) to win cash and prizes with the help of a guest celebrity. Gene Wood hosts and Charlie Callas is the guest celebrity in this Nov. 21, 1973 edition of the classic game show. Rolly and Madeleine Renault compete against Dewey and Dolly Champlain.
