The ‘world-class’ aquarium project that was set to open at Royalmount complex is on hold. A spokesperson for the mall in the Town of Mount Royal confirmed the aquarium is “currently on hold as potential partnership opportunities for the space are being evaluated.” Initially announced in 2024, the aquarium was set to be primarily developed by Ecorecreo Group, and promised to “combine spectacular habitats and unique immersive experiences for guests of all ages and abilities.”
