Rachel Aiello

National Correspondent
Rachel Aiello

Rachel Aiello covers the latest political news from CTV's parliamentary bureau in Ottawa.

She has a keen eye for all things legislative and procedural. The day new bills get tabled, or there is wrangling in the House of Commons, Rachel is on it.

While the daily news beat sees Rachel cover everything from high-profile political scandals, to the "Freedom Convoy" protests, she has a special interest in stories about justice and social policy reforms and also loves covering elections.

She's also the author of CTV News' Capital Dispatch newsletter, a weekly update on the latest news from the minority Parliament when it's in session, directly to your inbox. Avid politics reader, or curious to learn more? Subscribe here.

Part of CTV News' national digital team since 2017, and a member of the Parliamentary Press Gallery since 2014, you can also catch her offering up her latest insights on CTV News Channel's Power Play.

From Peterborough, Rachel moved to Ottawa where she graduated from the University of Ottawa's joint journalism program with Algonquin College.
