Mariam Matti
Mariam Matti is a Canadian-Iraqi journalist based in Toronto with experience as a reporter and digital editor.
She worked with CTVNews.ca as a digital content editor from 2012 to 2015, covering major breaking news events. Mariam was a front page news editor with Yahoo News before working at a medical publication called Allergic Living.
She reported on the health beat for two years, covering major shortages of drugs in U.S. and Canada and groundbreaking medical research.
In 2019, she returned to CTVNews.ca to work as a web writer.
Mariam is passionate about keeping up with the news in her home country of Iraq and hopes to one day return there to work as a foreign correspondent.
She speaks English and Assyrian.
