Blame it on the rain. Lady Gaga has cancelled her Monday performance at Montreal’s Bell Centre, saying the foul weather at a recent outdoor performance is to blame for a sudden illness.
Promoter Live Nationa said Gaga was told by doctors to reschedule due to laryngitis and a respiratory infection.
In a statement posted to Twitter, the pop star said she hopes the show can be rescheduled.
“To my beautiful fans. I couldn’t be more devastated that I am unable to perform tonight. I sing this entire show live, and pride myself in giving it all, but when I sang in the rain at Citi Field I got sick and have been pushing through,” Gaga said. “I am so sorry to anyone who had their heart set on seeing me tonight.”

Gaga is scheduled to perform at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Sept. 6 and 7. Those dates do not appear to be impacted.
The Grammy-winning artist is also expected to attend the world premiere of her Netflix documentary titled “Gaga: Five Foot Two” at Toronto’s Princess of Wales Theatre on Sept. 8, and perform after the screening.
Gaga also tweeted that she is sending free pizza to any “monsters,” a name for her fans, who have gathered outside her hotel.
