EDMONTON - A gynecologist convicted of sexual assault has been removed from Alberta's registry of doctors.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons says it has permanently taken Carl Nqumayo off the list because there are no appeals left to him.
Nqumayo was found guilty in 2009 of sexually assaulting patients in his Fort McMurray office.
Alberta's highest court dismissed his appeal in April 2010 and the Supreme Court refused last month to hear his case.
The college says Nqumayo has not practised since 2005 when the complaints were first made.
He was sentenced to three years in prison.
