SURREY, B.C. -- A southern Ontario man has been identified as the homicide victim found in a townhouse in a Surrey, B.C. neighbourhood.

Integrated Homicide Investigation Team Sgt. Adam MacIntosh says 32-year-old Gregory Quesnelle died of gunshot wounds shortly after being discovered around midnight on Monday.

MacIntosh says Quesnelle has a criminal record but has not described how that may be tied to what police say was a targeted shooting, likely related to an ongoing domestic dispute.

A man was seen driving from the attack in a stolen Kia SUV and that vehicle was found abandoned and on fire early Wednesday morning in south Surrey.

A search continues for 33-year-old Barrie McQuarrie, who MacIntosh says is connected to the homicide investigation.

McQuarrie also has outstanding warrants unrelated to the homicide, and MacIntosh describes him as armed and dangerous.
