WINDSOR, Ont. -- Police in southwest Ontario are on the lookout for a man wanted in connection with the slaying of a woman in Ohio.
Police say Toledo police have named Kyle Sheppard as a suspect in the death of his wife Katie Sheppard.
Police in Windsor issued a news release Saturday evening saying that Sheppard, 29, has crossed into the city from Detroit.
They say Sheppard has ties to Windsor and investigators have been in contact with those people.
Police say Sheppard had been driving a 2010 tan Jeep Patriot with Ohio plates.
Katie Sheppard was found dead in her home on Friday -- Toledo police are calling it murder.
