Prime Minister Justin Trudeau swept 20 young Ottawa-area patients off to a galaxy far, far away on Tuesday, by treating them to a special advance screening of the highly anticipated new “Star Wars” film, “The Force Awakens.”

The patients were from the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, in Ottawa.

Trudeau tweeted a photo of the theatre on Tuesday. “Just saw #TheForceAwakens with friends from the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario,” he wrote in the tweet. “Spoiler: It was amazing!”

It’s not the first time Trudeau has publicly shared his love for “Star Wars.” On Wednesday, Trudeau told CTV Toronto he is a “big Star Wars fan,” adding that his kids can expect plenty of branded merchandise for Christmas. “I don’t know what they’re asking for, but they’re definitely going to get lots of ‘Star Wars’ LEGO, because Daddy can’t wait,” he said.

Also on Wednesday, Trudeau was asked about his impressions of the film, during a town hall-style event for Maclean’s magazine.

“Is ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ as good as Harrison Ford says it is?” a young boy asked.

“I don’t know what Harrison Ford said about it, but I can tell you it is as good as I had hoped it was,” Trudeau said. “It’s so good.”

The PM added that he was a young boy when he saw the film, and “it was a life-changing movie and I’m very confident that this new iteration of it is going to make everybody very, very happy.”

He also recommended fans go see it “as soon as you can,” to avoid spoilers.

On Halloween, Trudeau dressed up as Han Solo from “The Empire Strikes Back,” with his wife, Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau, dressed as Princess Leia.
