"The Grand Tour" show with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May launches on Amazon Prime in the autumn.

"We'll be travelling the world," said Jeremy Clarkson in an Amazon press release, "hosting each episode in a different country, from a giant tent. It's a sort of grand tour, if you like. So we've decided to call it 'The Grand Tour'."

The shows will be made up of location shots with the three stars plus studio audience recordings, also made in various locations around the world, to which Amazon customers can enter prize draws to win tickets.

Amazon engaged the trio after they left the BBC show "Top Gear" last year. Clarkson was let go after a bust-up with a "Top Gear" producer. Later, Hammond and May also left the BBC.

In the lead-up to the announcement, the trio made several comic videos about the search for a name for the show. In a video posted today on the new show's Facebook page, joke names written on a piece of paper are crossed out before the final one is found: Click here to watch the video.
