Saturday's massive Lotto 6-49 draw has produced four winners, an Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation spokesperson said Saturday.

OLGC spokesperson Teresa Roncon said three winning tickets were purchased in Ontario, including two in the Greater Toronto Area and another in Sudbury, Ont.

A fourth winning ticket was purchased in Quebec.

"We don't have any details at this time, we don't know if it's a single person at this time, or a family, if the tickets are being shared by two or 20," she said, explaining the exact location is kept secret for internal security reasons.

The winning numbers were 11, 20, 33, 34, 37 and 39. The bonus number was 22.

Each winner will be entitled to a $12,574,733 share of the $50.3 million prize, said Trevor Miller of the B.C. Lottery Corp.

The lottery grew to $50.3 million after nobody won four recent lotteries. At first Saturday's draw was listed as having a $48-million jackpot but the amount of people coming forward to play boosted the prize money.

"There was definitely a lot of attention paid to this jackpot," Roncon said. "These are tough economic times and people were certainly looking for something a little escapist, and that's what they get with a lottery."

One Oshawa store owner told The Canadian Press that his store has been busy all day with customers checking to see if they have the winning numbers.

"I am praying to God that it might be my store," said Ambalal Pandya, adding he'd take a photograph of the winner with his lotto machine and post it in the window.

"I'd be happy, because that credit goes to the store. So if I want to sell the store in the future, that would be credit for us."

While Miller said he did not yet know how many people had bought tickets in advance of the Saturday night draw, he said he "would imagine people would be eager to come in and claim their prize."

Miller said 20 people who matched five numbers, plus the bonus, were entitled to each claim $224,863.

The $50.3 million prize was the second-largest lottery jackpot in Canadian history.

The draw for the biggest lottery jackpot took place in 2005 and saw 17 oil and gas workers from Camrose, Alta., split $54 million.

The winners have up to a year to claim their share of the jackpot.

About 40 per cent of 6/49 winners come from Ontario, based on sales, Roncon said. Ontario contributed $36 million to the draw prize.
