Julie Atchison

Julie Atchison is the Meteorologist for CTV London News at 6 p.m. and CTV London News at 11 p.m., bringing trusted and engaging weather coverage to viewers across the region. Since launching her career in journalism, Julie has worked across a wide spectrum of broadcasting including news, entertainment, sports, and weather. Originally from Peterborough, Julie is a proud graduate of the Broadcast Journalism program at Fanshawe College and holds a post-graduate diploma in Television News. Her passion for meteorology led her to further studies, completing a Meteorology course at Penn State University in 2004. She continued her education and, in 2018, earned her Certified Meteorologist designation from Mississippi State University. Beyond the newsroom, Julie is a passionate community leader and dedicated volunteer. She is frequently invited to emcee local events, visit classrooms, and share her expertise and enthusiasm for weather with audiences of all ages. An avid outdoors enthusiast, Julie enjoys hiking, biking, running, and playing sports anything that keeps her active outside. She and her husband Rob enjoy spending quality time outdoors with their two children, Wyatt and Alyvia.
