St. Thomas police officers and a volunteer search and rescue organization are searching the Dalewood Conservation area on Friday for a man reported as missing. Ruhirwa Nzabonimpa was last seen on Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the area of Dalewood Road. On Thursday, police released an image taken from a security camera showing a man wearing a fur-lined hat with a brim, a hoodie, and a black leather coat. Friday morning, nearly a dozen members of the London Search and Rescue (LSAR) organization joined St. Thomas Police officers as they combed through trails, brush, and a campground. A forensic team used a drone on several occasions. Despite the increased police presence, the case remains a missing person case, confirmed Staff Sergeant Aaron Fraser.
