Three people have been sent to hospital after a crash in Norwich involving a horse-and-buggy. Just before 10:30 a.m., police were called to the crash on Norwich Road. According to Const. Ed Sanchuk, the driver of an involved SUV was taken to hospital as a precaution. The driver and passenger of the buggy were taken to hospital, where the driver was then airlifted to a London hospital. The extent of the driver’s injuries is unknown. The horse didn’t appear to have any injuries. Norwich Road is closed between Middletown Line and Oxford Road 13 as police continue to investigate. Drivers that were in the area, as well as property owners, are asked to check for dashcam and surveillance footage. If anything was captured, you are encouraged to contact OPP.
