A weak weather system moving through southwestern Ontario Wednesday could bring a few brief showers to parts of the region before skies clear and sunshine makes a strong return heading into the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. “We could see a few spotty showers this morning, particularly across parts of midwestern Ontario, but most of the rain will be light and short-lived,” CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison said. “By this afternoon, many areas, including London, should see a return to sunshine.” The forecast calls for a high of 21 degrees Wednesday. While a few isolated showers could linger near Grey and Bruce counties into Thursday, Atchison said much of the region is set for a stretch of dry and seasonably warm weather. Thursday is expected to be sunny with a high of 19, followed by full sunshine on Friday. A mix of sun and cloud is forecast for Saturday. “Right now, the probability of showers on Sunday is fairly low, around 30 per cent,” Atchison said. “There may be a bit more cloud cover Sunday evening and into Monday, but at this point we’re not expecting anything significant.” Here’s a look at the rest of the forecast Wednesday: Mainly cloudy. 30 per cent chance of showers early in the morning and late in the afternoon.
