Strike averted as ATU Local 741 reaches tentative deal with Voyago

A tentative agreement has been reached between Amalgamated Transit Union and Trensdev Canada, the parent company of Voyago. CTV London's Reta Ismail reports.

A tentative agreement has been reached between Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU Local 741) and Trensdev Canada, the parent company of Voyago.

Last month, Paratransit drivers voted overwhelmingly (92 per cent) rejecting a proposed contract from their employer, setting up possible strike action.

Details of the contract are not being released until after the ratification vote. Top issues included wages and employee retention.

The member ratification vote set for Sept 21 at the ATU Local 741 head office at 390 Saskatoon St. in London between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
