Southern Ontario is expected to enjoy a prolonged stretch of sunny, seasonable weather this week, with daytime highs remaining in the mid to upper teens and little chance of significant precipitation. CTV News London meteorologist Julie Atchison said Monday’s forecast featured clear skies and comfortable temperatures across the region. “It’s a beautiful start to the week,” Atchison said. “Sunshine and gorgeous conditions are expected across southern Ontario, with temperatures climbing into the mid to upper teens this afternoon.” London reached 18 C on Monday under mainly sunny skies, while much of southern Ontario experienced clear conditions and light winds. Areas along the shorelines of Lake Huron and Lake Erie will remain slightly milder overnight. “Clear conditions hold overnight, and temperatures are right around where we should be for this time of year,” she said. The sunny pattern is expected to continue through the work week, with only a few fair-weather clouds in the forecast. Atchison said highs are expected to range between 16 C and 18 C on Tuesday, with temperatures remaining steady through the rest of the week. Forecast highs in London are expected to reach about 17 C on Wednesday, before climbing back to between 17 C and 18 C Thursday and Friday. The pleasant conditions are also expected to extend into the weekend, with a mix of sun and cloud forecast for both Saturday and Sunday. “We are in for a fantastic stretch of gorgeous weather in southern Ontario,” Atchison said. No significant rain is currently forecast over the next seven days.
