A man is facing weapons charges following an incident at an east London motel on Saturday morning. Just after 7 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to a motel located at 2010 Dundas St. for a report of a weapons call. According to Insp. Josh Silcox with the London Police Service, there was a man at the motel in possession of a weapon. Police were able to identify and contain the unit the suspect was residing in. The Emergency Response Team also attended the scene and located the suspect upon entering the unit. One man has been taken into custody and faces weapons-related charges. Police tell CTV News they are still searching for the weapon. Police have cleared the scene and say there is no risk to public safety. The accused will make a court appearance sometime this weekend.
