A freezing drizzle advisory has ended, but special weather statements remain in effect for parts of midwestern Ontario. “Another rough night on area roads. A cold front moving through, prompting a travel advisory for Huron County as well as southern Bruce and southern Grey,” said CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “The Bruce Peninsula and Northern Grey County under a snow squall watch.” Overcast conditions and calm weather remains for the rest of the day, but with the passage of this cold front overnight, flurries will be developing, according to Atchison. “Snow squalls expected downwind once again of Lake Huron with the potential for 15 to 20 centimeters in parts of midwestern Ontario,” she explained. “Flurries in the forecast in London overnight and then as we head through your Friday, flurries continue.” Conditions begin to improve Friday afternoon with peaks of sunshine expected, but another weather system enters our region Saturday. “This one will bring accumulating snow to the area Saturday afternoon. There is the potential for another five to 10 centimeters,” said Atchison.
