Overnight fire at east London home

Fire crews were called out overnight for a house fire on Horton Street near Hamilton Road.

When firefighters arrived, a water source was quickly established and a primary search of the property was clear.

The blaze was brought under control and was declared under control around 2:30 a.m.

Horton Street east is blocked between Adelaide Street and William Street.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
