The city of London announced the opening of a roundabout at Oxford Street and Gideon Drive. Construction began in the spring of 2024, with traffic continuing along Oxford Road during the project. Bike lanes, pedestrian crosswalks and upgraded water and sewer capacity were added to the new project. About 15,000 to 18,000 vehicles travel on Oxford Street West every day, and the city says the roundabout will help the intersection accommodate more traffic. “Completing the Oxford and Gideon roundabout marks a significant milestone in building a safer, more connected and future-ready London,” said Mayor Josh Morgan.
