Strathroy-Caradoc police are updating the public about an investigation involving needles in a Halloween treat bag. Earlier on Friday, officers said they believed the treat bag was given out by a resident in a neighbourhood off Head Street in Strathroy on Oct. 31. In an updated post on social media Friday afternoon, police said that the source of the needles in the ziploc bag did not come from a resident handing out candy in Strathroy. Police say as a matter of safety, parents should always check their children’s Halloween candy as a precaution, however, this occurrence has been solved and police have isolated this incident. Anyone with information can contact the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service with reference number SC26008863.
