Sunshine, mid-20s close out fresh northerly flow over southern Ontario

Julie Atchison has the latest forecast for the region

Sunshine continues in our last day of a nice, fresh northerly flow of air over southern Ontario, according to meteorologist Julie Atchison.

“Temperatures climbing this afternoon into the mid to upper 20s with the exception along that shoreline of Lake Huron. A beautiful afternoon underway leading to a gorgeous evening,” she said.

High pressure is maintaining its control but our upper level pattern is starting to break down so we will see a bit of a shift in our weather as we head into the weekend.

“Shifting to the hot side of things as we head into tomorrow forecast high 30 degrees for Thursday afternoon. Winds out of the southwest 20 with gusts of 40 overnight tonight.”

As we move toward the weekend on Friday, a mix of something cloud, a risk of nighttime rain, although the probability is on the lower end at just 30 per cent.

Heading into Saturday, a 40per cent chance of showers, we’ll be looking for rainfall this weekend.
