The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 at Highway 2 in Woodstock have reopened following a three-vehicle collision involving two commercial motor vehicles and a passenger vehicle early Friday morning. Ontario Provincial Police first reported the closure shortly after 4 a.m. as emergency crews responded to the crash. Police said the driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The drivers of the two transport trucks were not injured. Police said one of the transport trucks was fully loaded, and crews had to unload its contents so the vehicle can be turned over and removed from the highway. Motorists were being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes while the cleanup and investigation continue.
