One person has been taken into custody following a shooting investigation in Grey County. According to police, one person was injured in the shooting shortly before noon at a residence in the 300 block of 14th Avenue in Hanover, Ont. Police said a 37-year-old man was taken to Hanover and District Hospital by Grey County paramedics with gunshot wounds that were not considered life-threatening. Investigators said a 50-year-old suspect was arrested a short time after the incident, however they have not released details on any charges. Officers also recovered a firearm near the scene. Hanover police are asking for the public’s help identifying and locating a black van that was seen leaving the area immediately after the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact Hanover Police Service investigators or Crime Stoppers. The investigation remains ongoing.
