Fire prevention officer called in to investigate north London house fire

Residents of a home on Dylan Street north east in London were able to get out safely after the garage caught fire.

More than 25 firefighters responded to the scene and were able to bring the fire under control in the garage and extinguish the fire inside the house.

Crews remained on scene for an extended period of time, overhauling and extinguishing hotspots and continuing ventilation.

A fire prevention officer has been requested to attend to investigate.
