There is extensive damage across the region following a storm on Thursday evening. In West Perth, OPP notified the public that there were multiple hydro lines, hydro poles, and trees downed, leading to road closures. Crews are out cleaning up and drivers are asked to be patient and slow down as there could still be wires, trees, and other debris on roads. In Mitchell, police closed Highway 23 around 10 p.m. between Line 28 and Line 32 due to the downed hydro poles. It remains closed as of 10 a.m. on Friday. Areas to the south of Mitchell has extensive damage, with smashed silos, a car and downed branches.
