Police say they were contacted by a contractor working at the location on Electric Avenue Thursday. Three GPS units along with other items were taken from bulldozers sometime overnight between Jan. 22 and Jan. 23. The $7-billion manufacturing facility is expected to open in 2027. The investigation continues. *When contacted by CTV News, St. Thomas police indicated the theft happened at the PowerCo site. They have since clarified that it was in the general area, but not on PowerCo property.
