A mainly cloudy and muggy day is expected across southern Ontario Wednesday, with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible through the afternoon, according to CTV London meteorologist Julie Atchison. “We have a front that will be slumping its way southward and that will generate some rain,” Atchison said. Temperatures will reach 26 C, with southwest winds picking up and gusts possible ahead of the front. The front will continue moving south overnight, with the chance of showers lingering into Thursday afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms are also possible, with the potential for heavy rainfall. Atchison says the muggy conditions will last through Wednesday before cooler temperatures arrive Thursday. Thursday will be mainly cloudy with a high of 22 C, while Friday will bring full sunshine after a cool start with a single-digit low. Saturday is expected to start with lots of sunshine and a high of 26 C, although conditions will be somewhat unsettled over the weekend.
