Former Toronto Maple Leafs captain Wendel Clark has listed his Muskoka, Ont. cottage on Airbnb, with all proceeds from the big-ticket rental going to charity.
At a rate of $5,001 a night, the retired NHLer's lakeside getaway includes one main cottage, four guest cottages, six parking spots and two boat slips, according to the listing.
"Feel free to take advantage of the beautiful view with 200 feet of water frontage, fishing rods, BBQ, pool table and comfy sofa," he writes in the Airbnb listing.
Photos of the cottage show it also has multiple fireplaces, a large dining area and a luxurious bathtub. The property can accommodate up to 15 people, and includes eight bathrooms, 10 bedrooms and 11 beds, according to the listing. (But you could probably squeeze in one or two more people.)
The property is situated on Lake Rosseau, where several celebrities including Martin Short, Steven Spielberg, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are known to have cottages.
While it might sound like a blast to spend the May long weekend partying at a hockey player's house, visitors will be sent to the penalty box if things get rowdy.
The house rules explicitly state that no parties or events are allowed.
Other, more tongue-in-cheek rules include no mini-sticks in the house ("take it out to the yard!"), no eating the Captain Crunch cereal in the cupboards, and no diving ("unless it's off the dock"). The listing says Zamboni parking is allowed, and "mustache trimming is allowed, (but) shaving is not."
A minimum two-night stay is required to book the home, with all proceeds going to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
As of Tuesday morning, Airbnb showed the home was available for one weekend each month, May-August, Friday-Sunday night. The first listing is available for the May long weekend.
