TORONTO -- Award-winning Canadian designer Erdem Moralioglu is in the running for yet another style honour.

The two-time British Fashion Award winner was among the nominees for the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards announced at an event in Toronto Tuesday. The CAFAs honour homegrown talent within the arts and fashion community.

The Montreal-born, London-based Moralioglu will vie for international Canadian designer of the year honours at the CAFAs alongside fellow Londoner Thomas Tait, who won the lucrative LVMH Young Fashion Designer Prize earlier this year. Fellow nominees in the category include Mikael D. and Steven Tai.

Canada's Walk of Fame inductee Daria Werbowy is up for model of the year alongside Heather Marks, Jessica Stam and Anais Pouliot.

Womenswear nominees include Christie Smythe and Andrea Lenczner of Smythe, Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong of Greta Constantine, Mikhael Kale, Melissa Nepton and Marie Saint Pierre.

Montreal-based designer Saint Pierre is also in contention in the outstanding achievement category alongside David Dixon, Lida Baday, and Michael Budman and Don Green of Roots.

Menswear designer of the year nominees include Wings + Horns, Philippe Dubuc, Frank & Oak and Christopher Bates.

Contemporary womenswear and accessory brand Beaufille is up for dual honours in two separate emerging talent categories.

The label co-founded by sisters Chloe and Parris Gordon will vie in the emerging talent fashion design category against Sid Neigum, Matthew Gallagher and Malorie Urbanovitch. Beaufille is also in the running in the emerging talent for accessory design field with Kat Marks, Noelle Hindi and Jon De Porter. As a new element for the 2015 CAFAs, winners in the emerging designer categories will receive mentorship from designers and other notable industry insiders.

In the accessory designer of the year category, nominees include Jerome C. Rousseau, Ela Handbags, Mackage, Jenny Bird and Herschel Supply Company.

Image maker of the year nominees include Leda & St. Jacques, Jake Rosenberg, Gabor Jurina, Max Abadian and Tommy Ton. Ton will also be vying for fashion blogger of the year honours alongside The Coveteur, Beckerman Blog and Jay Strut.

The second annual CAFA gala is slated to take place on Jan. 31 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.
