A Kitchener man’s need for speed came at the cost of his wife’s car. Guelph Police said an officer clocked a black Hyundai going 112km/h on Woodlawn Road West, near Elmira Road North, just after 11 p.m. Tuesday. The speed limit is only 60km/h in that area. Police said the vehicle was also swerving between lanes. Once pulled over, the driver told the officer he was taking his wife’s vehicle home from work. The 47-year-old was charged with stunt driving. His licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle impounded for 14 days.
