Someone tried to use an intimate video to extort money from a Guelph man. The Guelph Police Service said the man reached out to them on Wednesday after he was targeted. He said he had been chatting online with a person who he believed was a woman in another country. During their conversations, he said the “woman” recorded an incriminating video and threatened to share it with his Facebook contacts unless he sent “her” $2,000. He didn’t send any money.
