A Guelph Police have made an arrest following an investigation into an organized theft ring targeting local businesses. Police said their auto theft unit began looking into several people this summer who they believed to be working together during the thefts. According to investigators, staff at a Kitchener business stopped two women and a man from stealing items valued over $1,000 when they recognized one of the women from a previous incident. Earlier this week, officers arrested a 30-year-old Guelph man. “He is also charged with theft over $5,000, mischief under $5,000 and break and enter in two other ongoing investigations related to the theft of tools from a vehicle in August and the theft of an e-bike from the garage of an east-end home in September,” police said in a media release.
