A Brampton man is facing a drug trafficking charge after Guelph police seized cocaine and cash during an investigation. The Guelph Police Service began investigating earlier this summer after identifying a man believed to be trafficking cocaine in the city. Police said the 34-year-old was arrested shortly after 1 p.m. Monday as he exited his vehicle in an east-end parking lot. Following the arrest, officers executed search warrants on the vehicle and a residence in Brampton. Police said they seized cocaine valued at about $3,300, more than $1,700 in cash, a digital scale and drug packaging. The Brampton man is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
