A 16-year-old boy was charged after Waterloo Regional Police say he brought a pellet gun to school. Officers were called to a high school at Myers Road and Christopher Drive, around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, for a report of a youth believed to have a gun. While police did not identify the building, the address coincides with Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School. The teen was arrested and the weapon seized. That’s when police realized it was a pellet gun. They said no one was hurt. The 16-year-old was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
