The Kitchener Rangers suffered an overtime loss to the Soo Greyhounds on Friday night, falling 3-2 on the road. Luca Romano opened the scoring for the Rangers with his second goal of the season while Kitchener was killing a penalty. The Rangers outshot the Greyhounds 12-9 in the second period but couldn’t add to their lead. Luca Santala scored his fifth goal of the season on the power play to put Kitchener ahead in the third. Sault Ste. Marie responded with two goals to tie the game. Brady Smith scored first, followed by Ryan Kacynski. The game went to overtime, where Jakub Winkelhofer scored the winner for the Greyhounds. The Rangers will wrap up their road trip Saturday night against the Saginaw Spirit before returning home to face the London Knights on Tuesday.
