Brantford Police are investigating a shooting in a south-end neighbourhood. They said multiple shots were fired into a home on Powell Road at 4:15 a.m. on Friday. The residents were home at the time but were not hurt. “There was damage discovered to the garage area of a residence,” Const. Adil Khalqi told CTV News. “There was property that was damaged as a result of the incident as well.” Evidence markers could be seen in the driveway and garage of the home. Police said the shooter fled in a black sedan, which was later recovered. No other details were shared about the suspect or anyone else who may have been involved. Investigators did, however, call it a targeted shooting. They urged witnesses to reach out. “Police are asking residents in the immediate area to check any video surveillance, doorbell or dash-cam footage between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., specifically footage which may show the suspect vehicle, and to contact police with any information,” a media release said.
